Mugen MBX5/MBX5R/MBX5T Plus Screw Kit

Description

Mugen MBX5/MBX5R/MBX5T Plus 319-piece high grade alloy steel socket head screw kit. Kit includes all applicable cap, flat and button head screws, as well as nuts, washers, lock washers and set screws. The MBX5 “plus” kit includes 4mm hardware to replace the 3.5mm wood screws on the diff cases. You will need to drill out any pass-through holes (where the screw does not thread into) with a 5/32″ drill bit. Then use a 1/8″ drill bit to pre-drill the cases where the 4mm threads will actually screw and tap themselves into. Depending on which hinge pin supports you are using, you may need to chuck the 4mm Flat Head machine screws into a cordless drill and reduce the screw head diameter against a grinding wheel/file so that the countersunk head seats correctly. This screw kit is recommended for the advanced hobbyist. NOTE: This kit covers the MBX5, MBX5 ProSpec, MBX5R and MBX5T. The kit also includes 3x12mm flat heads to replace the 3x8mm flat heads on the three differentials. The stock 3x8mm flat heads are too short and can cause the differentials to leak at the gasket.
